2010 festival line up, so far..
The NoisettesIn January 2009 the song "Don't Upset The Rhythm" appeared on the advert for the "Mazda 2". The song was the second single from their second album "Wild Young Hearts" thrusting The Noisettes into the attention of the world. Comprising of singer and bassist Shingai Shoniwa, guitarist Dan Smith, and drummer Jamie Morrison the indie rock band from London stormed the charts reaching number 2 in spring 2009. Entertainment weekly placed the band on its list of "Six Indie Brit Bands on the Cusp," and said the band "sounds like high-drama, heavily syncopated swagger-and-sway rock, spearheaded by incandescent front-woman Shingai Shoniwa." The Noisettes quickly formed a reputation for being one of the rowdiest live acts in London. Clearly a classy bunch of people, The Noisettes who understand the value of restraint, careful lyrical delivery, and spotless songcraft have showcased reflections of Dusty Springfield's brit-soul ballads that glint in the set's sadder outings, which are beautifully illuminated by touches of jazz guitar and shaded by discreet swirls of perfectly-positioned keyboard. Lust, regret, teenage crushes and frenetic long-distance yearning all get the Noisettes treatment and come out box-fresh and sweet-smelling. The Noisettes are stylish pop that's not afraid to look into the darker side of life. Forever pushing boundaries the bands last single Saturday night, was shot solely using mobile phones, with fans being able to make their own version of the song with the footage that was used being released online. Over time the band has found their stride with tracks being used within other platforms including TV Averts, Feature films and various other campaigns including feature film "Nine", a DFS furniture advert and the timberland footwear and Vodafone Campaigns.

http://www.myspace.com/afrikanboy Tinashé Tinashé is a 25 year old singer/songwriter and producer originally from Zimbabwe. Signed to Island Records he's set to be the indie darling for 2010. . When the thoughts of growing up and becoming a doctor/lawyer faded away he instead turn to his old six stringed campion and wrote something truly amazing and different. Staying true to his roots, Tinashé speaks from the heart, successfully blending contemporary pop with invigorating African rhythms and compelling storytelling that is unlike anything else you'd hear in the pop charts. "Zambezi" is a great example of that. The lush, warming undertones of the song create a sharp contrast with its serious lyrics about a doomed relationship using the war for Zimbabwe's liberation from Rhodesia as a backdrop.
