Baio (Vampire Weekend)

There are afrobeat and traditional African music influences all over Vampire Weekend’s music, so it is only fitting that VW bassist Chris Baio brings everything full circle and joins us in Malawi this year for a DJ set. Before he was in Vampire Weekend Baio ran a radio station, threw basement shows and DJ’d parties at Columbia University in New York. With eclectic musical taste and no allegiance to genre, all we know is that when he hits that stage expect to feel the urge to dance. Lots.
