Chantel Van T met Kenan Tatt in the winter of 2010. She could sing while he would play the guitar. They hung out in their quiet, windy hometown of Somerset West over pots of Earl Grey and conversation, songs were written best described as earthy blues tones with dark, dirty textures. A year later and the band has gigged with the best Cape Town and South African bands at small shows and big events across South Africa.

LA. VI plan to release their debut long-player at the end of 2011, just in time for the warm and festive South African summer. Until then, live performances will abound as this troupe take their infectious sounds to shows around the country, including a quick detour to Malawi for Lake of Stars, perfecting and mastering their craft… this space, watch it.
