Shishani

Shishani

Shishani’s roots are in two continents: Africa and Europe. Born to a Namibian mother and a Belgian father, she grew up listening to all kinds of music, although the most immediate influence in her music are soul, jazz and R&B. After studying jazz vocals at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, she decided to start her own personal journey in the professional art world.

Shishani mesmerises with a voice that is soulful and smooth, and her style is comaparable to artists such as Tracy Chapman, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu. On stages she gently commands attention and radiates a strength unexpected in such a young musician. Her music has enabled her to travel and perform all over the world, and she will be bringing her captivating voice to Malawi at the end of September.
